When I was in high school, I was told by the lady at the Nordstrom cosmetics counter that I was still young and didn’t need to worry about doing skincare yet. This really stuck with me for over the last decade, and since then I hadn’t really taken very good care of my skin. I would randomly try different products from Target or Trader Joe’s without knowing what they were or what was in them. I didn’t give much thought in what I was putting on my skin.
That all changed when I discovered La Vie Précieuse about a year ago, around the time the COVID-19 pandemic first started. At the onset of the pandemic, I was struggling with my skin like never before: as a nurse, I had to wear the same mask all the time since there was a shortage of masks when COVID-19 made its first big wave. The masks would get dirty and accumulate bacteria, which caused acne and acne scarring. On top of that, I was required to wear the N95 respirator more often, and whenever I would wear it, the metal would cause scarring on the bridge of my nose and also redness and irritation on my skin.
At the time, I worked Monday through Friday for 8 hours or more a day, and the only time I wasn’t wearing a mask was when I was at home or in my car.

What to expect when using La Vie Précieuse
The main problems I was facing with my skin included redness and irritation, acne, and scarring. After trying the 3-step skincare routine by La Vie Précieuse, I noticed a significant change in my skin.
I start my routine by using the MOIST A.P.G. Lotion (Essence). The lotion is very viscous – it’s thicker in texture than a regular toner and penetrates into the skin to prep it for absorption of the products applied after. For morning, I finish my routine with the MOIST A.P.G. Emulsion. It’s easy to apply due to its lightweight texture, but I surprisingly don’t feel any dryness throughout the day after use. I dab it on all over my face and use it as a primer for my makeup application as well. I naturally have oily skin, so at first, I was worried since the texture was a bit on the oily side; however, I don’t feel any of the oiliness on my face after use which is amazing.
For night, I use the MOIST A.P.G. Cream as an additional third step to make sure the moisture is sealed for plump, hydrated skin in the morning.
I appreciate the pleasant scent of the Aomori apples in all of the products, and also how they are sustainable in the way they use the ingredients for the products.
Now my face feels more hydrated, and the redness I had is completely gone. I am able to go out without makeup on, or just apply a little concealer with no foundation and it’s usually enough. My friends and family will tell me, “Why would you put makeup on? You look so much better without makeup!” I feel much more confident now and I love showing off my natural skin.
